Melanie Pierce signed up for the DIY Action Program a little over six years ago with the goal to get her community involved in raising awareness and funds for breast cancer awareness. Six years later it is one of the most successful DIY events in the history of Keep A Breast! Grassroots activist is at the core of our mission and brings awareness to all different types of people and communities. Brewbies combines breweries from all over the country with breast cancer prevention education, provided by our Traveling Education Booth, to continue to raise awareness to the rapidly growing craft beer movement. Last year, Brewbies raised over $45k for our educational programs and they are hoping to have an even bigger turn out this year. Melanie and all the KAB DIY participants are proof that every single person can make a difference in a big way. There will be rad raffles prizes, pink beer (made naturally with beets, hibiscus, or pomegranate), and half of the participating breweries will be making specialty beer EXCLUSIVELY for Brewbies. Get your tickets and don't miss out on what LA Times is calling one of the four SoCal beer festivals that are worth the drive!

SPY Optic presents the 6th Annual Brewbies Festival held Saturday February 14th, 2015 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Bagby Beer Co in Oceanside, CA.

*AND REMEMBER - although this event might be at a bar - your tickets are for samples. More than one (1) drink each day (if you are 21, of course) increases your odds of developing breast cancer.  Alcohol can increase the levels of some hormones, such as estrogen and unusually high levels of estrogen increase the risk of breast cancer. We know it's not fair, but think of the consequences if you drink too much. Be responsible and drink in moderation if you do.
