WE ARE SO EXCITED TO PRESENT OUR NEW INITIATIVE, KAB ACTIVISTS!

KAB Activists was designed to set you up for success and fun when fundraising for Keep A Breast! Our goal in creating this new initiative is to make your experience as easy and breezy as possible while helping you reach your goals! We’ve listed the different ways for you to fundraise, host events, and even create a fundraising page with your own URL in order to collect donations and make an impact in your own community! All the ways to fundraise and easy-to-follow tutorials can be found on our new KAB Activist page.

This shift from what you may remember as our “DIY” initiative comes in our efforts to recognize our supporters – you! – as more than “do it yourself” event organizers and fundraisers. Because fundraising and event organizing is ACTIVISM. 

Let’s break it down!

WHAT IS KAB ACTIVISM?

If you’ve been following Keep A Breast for a while you’ve probably seen some rad DIY (Do It Yourself) events that our supporters create to raise funds for KAB. 

DIY’ers have been a major contributor to the KAB ethos in more ways than one. As the world is changing and shifting, and especially over the past couple of years, we have had a growing interest in how people can get involved and give back to KAB. 

“How can I help?” is a common question. People often feel overwhelmed with so many issues and communities in need that they feel unsure of where to start. We like to say, “Keep it simple.” It’s easiest to start right where you are, with what you have. 

Hosting a game night at your house for example, and having discussions with your friends about the risks of breast cancer and steps to take toward prevention is being active! Raising funds for an organization is being active! Even just a Facebook or Instagram fundraiser for your birthday. That’s being active!

Want to go big? Here’s an example of one of our long-time supporters creating something long-lasting and loved by those with similar passions for craft brewing!

Brewbies Festival was founded in 2010 by a passionate KAB Activist and her community of craft brewers. Wanting to showcase the positive impact that the craft brewing community could make while raising funds to help Keep A Breast Foundation fulfill its mission. To date, Brewbies has raised over $560,000 in honor of Keep A Breast’s education and support programs. So rad.

The KAB Activist Kit has all the goodies for your next event!

Our new KAB Activist kits were created to support your activism efforts and help you feel prepared. Our kits include:

Plus, all of this comes in a one-of-a-kind KAB Activist tote bag! Each tote is unique and was created for you by the KAB Team. No two are the same! The $35 cost of the tote is a donation to cover shipping and fees for our organization to get your tote to you. The materials and tote retails at $100.
