These Boobies Were Made for Marching: Women's March LA 2019

Stop by our Traveling Education Booth in Pershing Square at the 3rd Women’s March LA. Women’s health is still threatened under the current administration, so we are marching the streets of LA for the third time: using our voices in solidarity with womxn and people all across the world to showcase our values and what we believe in.

Healthcare is a Human Right

We believe that all people have the right to access to good and affordable healthcare. Whether you're going to see a doctor to investigate a change in your body or you're going to the hospital for a life-saving procedure, the ability to do either of these at a reasonable cost - no matter your class, gender identity, race, or sexual orientation - should be granted to everyone.

Your Own Advocate

We say all the time that we want to inspire young people to be their own health advocates. We aim to give people the tools they need to self-check and really get to know what is “normal” for their bodies. We also strive to provide education on breast health and breast cancer prevention in order for people to live preventative lifestyles and take their health into their own hands.

But self-advocacy does not end with the self-check. In order to truly be our own health advocates, we need to support systems that care about everyone’s health and protest those trying to slash such systems.

Solidarity

As a non-profit organization who is rooted in caring about people, we have a responsibility to use our privilege and take part in dismantling these oppressive and toxic structures that are so rampant in this country. We do not tolerate racism, sexism, anti-Semitism, xenophobia, homophobia, transphobia, ableism or any other ideology which is situated in hatred of any persons based on their identities.

We believe in the acceptance, equality, and fair treatment of all peoples. We do not discriminate. Love is at the core of our organization. We march in solidarity with any and all people who are marginalized or threatened by the current administration.

For the 2nd year in a row, we put our heads together and made our own signs for the march. Feel free to download, print them out and use them as you march. They are sized for 20×16 – adjust as needed. Links below! Artwork by Kyra Brandman.
