Your April Health Horoscope
Here at Keep A Breast, we believe that everything is connected and that our overall health and wellness is influenced by everything around us. We had the idea of creating personalized health guides based on the zodiac (with a focus on health, of course). We've teamed up with the fantastic intuitive tarot reader, Reiki healer, and dream interpreter, Christine Aprile (of House of Intuition TV) to bring you monthly wellness-centered horoscopes. April 2019 Horoscopes
April begins with a lovely New Moon in Aries, making the first week of the month an ideal time to set spring goals and intentions. Expansion may slow down a bit on the 10th as Jupiter retrogrades in Sagittarius, but it’s an excellent time to reassess our values and make plans for future journeys. The Full Moon in Libra on April 19th will be opposite Uranus, so watch out for emotional explosions and tension in relationships. It’s important to see both sides of the story, so resist the urge to leap before you look!
Happy birthday month, dear Aries! While the past few years have been challenging, the universe is giving you the go ahead to enjoy your loved ones and kick off your shoes and dance! Call up your friends and hit your favorite dance spot to celebrate your solar return. Dancing is amazing exercise, toning your muscles and working your heart.
Tend to your spiritual side this month, dear Taurus. The New Moon on April 5th is the perfect time to tune into what your soul is trying to tell you, so take a ritual bath and connect with your emotions. You’re about to begin an entirely new cycle, so take stock of what the old one taught you.
Mars will spend this month in your sign dear Gemini, so take this as an opportunity to literally and figuratively flex your muscles. Weight training tones and creates lean muscle, helping you to lose weight and lower your risk of diabetes. It even guards against osteoporosis, so grab some hand weights and grow your strength!
Business is booming for you this month, Cancer, but you’ll have to pay special attention to your health and wellness as this April. You may find yourself feeling a little burned out, so practice extra self-care by eating a healthy, balanced diet. Resist the urge to carb out, and if you need a late night meal (it could be that kind of busy), then try something light like a cup of miso soup with vegetables and avoid heavy, greasy late night binges. Here’s an simple miso soup recipe we love form Minimalist Baker.
This is the perfect month for Leos to declutter and streamline in both health and work, so go through those junk drawers and say goodbye to excess. You’ll have the necessary energy this month to accomplish daunting tasks such as cleaning out your closets or filing cabinet, so get organized! Decluttering improves mental well being as well as physical health (dust allergy, anyone?).
Spend part of April attending to your spiritual needs, dear Virgo. Try approaching your work out as a form of meditation by being completely present in your movement. Allow your mind to become still, using your footfalls or reps as your mantra. Consider this form of meditation your spiritual workout for the month.
Embrace the new for best results this month, Libra. You’ll be feeling pulled outside of your comfort zone, and a relationship might just be what brings more adventure into your life. To help boost your mood, try adding some Ashwaghanda to your diet. This adaptogenic herb (it’s a shrub, actually) originates from India, and helps your body to regulate cortisol levels. That means less stress, anxiety and insomnia so you can really get out there and create new, long lasting relationships.
Love is in the stars for you, dear Scorpio, so open your heart to possibility. Get yourself in the mood by making a delicious, heart opening cacao and rose elixir. Just your favorite non-dairy milk to nearly a boil, remove from heat and add raw cacao powder, dried rose petals and honey. Let it cool, and drink with the intention of receiving love.
Embrace joy this month, Sagittarius, by participating fully in the beautiful friendships around you. Try organizing a group activity like exploring a local park or even something more adventurous, like a canoe trip. You’ll get both a workout and the experience of enjoying all the wonderful people in your life!
This is the perfect month to begin a dream journal and tap into your intuition, dear Capricorn. Write down your dreams first thing in the morning and pay attention to the emotions or events that relate to your daily life. If you need a little boost, try drinking passion flower tea before you go to bed. It’s both a calming and dream inducing herb with antioxidant properties.
You’ll benefit from working with your spiritual side this month, Aquarius, so why not start with your diet? Foods containing omega 3 fats and magnesium rich leafy green vegetables will help boost your nervous system and open you to deeper, more insightful ideas. Your mind works best when it’s not bogged down by processed foods and sugar.
Focus on family life and personal matters this month, dear Pisces. It’s also a good time to indulge in a massage or craniosacral therapy. The craniosacral systems involves the membranes that protect and nourish your spine and brain. Through gentle massaging techniques, craniosacral therapy can help bring balance to your nervous system.
