Will You Become Cancer's Greatest Threat?

In a world... where 1 in 8 women will be affected by breast cancer in their lifetime... Keep A Breast is here to help young people lower their risk of breast cancer, and is calling on you to help! The DIY Action Program was designed to equip you with the tools to educate you and the people around you with potentially life saving information. It helps spread awareness of breast cancer prevention and environmental health through grassroots campaigning, and brings our message to different interest groups. Most important, it empowers young people to better themselves and their communities, which in turn expands our network of breast health activists.

1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. Out of all cases of breast cancer, 1 in 233 occur in women age 39 and younger. For young people age 39 and under, breast cancer screening, education, and prevention methods are not discussed, commonly recommended, and still not spoken about by most breast cancer non-profits.

Every summer, the Keep A Breast's Traveling Education booth heads out with the Vans Warped Tour to educate young people with life-saving information.

Warped Tour is only one of the many events we participate in with the goal of educating and speaking to YOU. In 2012, Keep A Breast reached nearly one million people by informing them about methods of prevention, early detection and health risks.

We need YOUR help to keep us on the road!

For every $2 spent on KAB's Traveling Education Booth program, we have the opportunity to educate 10 more people. This year, our goal is to raise $100,000 to allow us to reach half a million more young people.

At this year's Warped Tour we asked some of your favorite bands -- "What can you do with $2?" but more importantly "What impact can your $2 have?"

Pledge $2 TODAY and share our campaign to educate people about breast cancer prevention: Here

Bordeaux Love Show Opening - Keep A Breast Europe

October has become, all over the world, the month to mobilize for the fight against breast cancer by encouraging women to get tested. This global effort is extended both nationally and internationally by linking the symbolic color of "pink" to the month of October. Keep A Breast Foundation Europe presented an exhibition of breast casts in various venues around the city of Bordeaux (shops, galleries, clinics, etc.) from October 2-30th, 2012: the "Bordeaux Love Show." This original exhibition presents casts of women from all walks of Bordeaux. Many local artists, such as Dakota, Nathalie Kaïd, Skin Jackin and Blade, have also lent their contributions.

The Bordeaux Love Show aims to raise awareness of the importance of breast cancer screening and it seeks to break the taboos associated with the disease. Thus, throughout the month of October, the public can admire these breast casts in shops, galleries and in health centers all across the city of Bordeaux. All of the casts will be auctioned and the money raised will help fund the necessary programs and support that Keep A Breast offers to women affected by breast cancer.

This Is My Pink Ribbon - Why Do You Wear Your Keep A Breast i love boobies! bracelet?

Here at Keep A Breast, we hear amazing, personal messages about the meaning of our "I Love Boobies!" bracelets everyday. We created the bracelets to show solidarity for breast cancer awareness, yet we've learned that the bracelets also mean other things to each wearer, and that different people wear them for different reasons. Our bracelets have truly become the "pink ribbon" of the younger generation.

We want others to hear these inspiring messages, so we've created the This is My Pink Ribbon campaign. This campaign allows everyone—from celebrities to everyday young people—to share with the world why they wear an I Love Boobies! bracelet, and what the bracelet means to them. Everyone's story has the potential to comfort someone else.

This is My Pink Ribbon is an extension of an existing online campaign. If you wear an I love Boobies! bracelet, you can participate and share your story by simply finishing the sentence: I wear my bracelet because... And tagging it on Twitter or Instagram with #ThisIsMyPinkRibbon, uploading a video response on YouTube or adding a pink i love boobies! Twibbon to your Facebook or Twitter profile photo.

Help us raise awareness of breast cancer and strengthen our community of support by telling the world about your bracelet!

To mix it up this time around we took a camera crew out for NTR Home Invasion: Bus Edition during this summer's Vans Warped Tour and surprised several bands on the tour including Mayday Parade, Miss May I and even our friends from Skate4Cancer and Invisible Children. Some laughed, some cringed, some well... disappointed us. The Keep A Breast Non Toxic Revolution brought Heart and Soul to Austin, TX with a goal to educate and inspire at SXSW 2012! Keep A Breast Non Toxic Revolution Kyle Craft hit the streets of Austin, TX to ask SXSW 2012 attendees what their personal mantra was and this is what they said.

Toxic chemicals and environmental factors are not the only things to blame when we are talking about cancer. Not that they are actual causes of cancer but it has been thought that stress, exercise, our state of mind, and our overall outlook on life has a huge role in how and to what degree cancers affect our bodies.

Your brain... including thoughts and mood, can affect the way your white defense cells behave, causing them to be either more or less effective. So stay positive! Embrace your inner mantra or borrow one of ours! What's your mantra?

This project takes a no-holds-barred look into peoples drawers, kitchen cabinets, and bathrooms to see what toxic products may be lurking and hiding. To mix it up this time around we took a camera crew out for NTR Home Invasion: Bus Edition during this summer's Vans Warped Tour and surprised several bands on the tour including Big D and the Kids Table, The Material, So Long Arletta, and Enter Shikari. Some laughed, some cringed, some well... disappointed us. But our very own Kyle made the best of it all by helping to educate the bands and replace some of the toxic products being used with better non toxic alternatives. "My Little Footprint, Keep A Breast, and Protect our Winters collaborated in supporting our One Life project in Argentina in August 2010 at the South America Snow Sessions. Inspired to support the community of Bariloche, and the earth that gives us so much, we, One Life, and friends, built a greenhouse out of recycled plastic bottles, and bamboo from the local forest. We collected bottles for 2 days, cut lots of bamboo, rode epic powder, shared yoga, and threw a concert to celebrate our eco adventures.

FACTS: 1. Our greenhouse will yield 10% faster crop growth, 2. Those plastic bottles will not be burnt into atmosphere, and 3. We are helping with the local produce issues and hope to inspire you to recycle, reuse, and reduce your footprint on the earth we all share!

Keep A Breast presents Oceanides - A Surf Documentary Trailer

The Keep A Breast Foundation presents Oceanides, a film of femininity, poise, surf and empowerment, created by the Executive Director of Keep A Breast Europe, Lorene Carpenter.

The film takes us on adventure through California, Baja, Australia, Europe, Africa, and Haiti and leads us through the girls' spiritual experience and bond, both in and out of the ocean.

"I always wanted to do surf movie about girls long boarding. There is something very spiritual about it. Surfing would not make sense if girls were not surfing, long boarding is so feminine; I tried to catch this grace, this delicate balance between a free spirit and a fluid element. When I saw the first girls long boarding a few years ago they reminded me of the goddess. The day the title appeared to me was one of the most happy day of the adventure. Everything was falling into place, just perfectly, and cherry on the cake, "Oceanides" is very close to "Oceanside", which is the place I live in California. The long boarders I filmed are legendary, they inspired thousands of girls, everywhere around the globe. This video is a way to get closer to them, see their everyday life, slow down some tricks to admire them, decide to go on a surf trip with friends, be creative, healthy, make you dream come true, that's the Keep A Breast Foundation message for everyone. " - Lorene Carpentier, Director
