We have developed a unique avenue for musicians and to donate their time and influence the lives of their fans and so much more. As part of The Keep A Breast Music for Awareness Campaign, we are inviting all promoters as well as bands out there to really step in and start making a difference. This campaign will allow anyone to play a role with KAB and throw his or her very own benefit show in support of the cause. This campaign will acknowledge and enable the fact that young people do want to be activists, to play a part of a bigger and better good. This was developed to provide an outlet that inspires people to better themselves and their communities.

You Can participate in KAB’s MFA Campaign, Here is how!

KAB is calling all bands our there!!

Would you like to throw a KAB music benefit in your town?

If you’re in a band or promoter, and feeling that giving spirit, you can count us in!

We encourage anyone to consider throwing a fundraiser for Keep A Breast. From small concerts, to a car wash or even monthly nights at your venue can become a benefit show to increase awareness and raise needed funds for Keep A Breast’s education and prevention outreach programs! Pick a night you would like to throw a benefit show and donate the proceeds from your show (generally door sales) to Keep A Breast. We will provide you with the necessary armor, Keep A Breast T-shirts for you/the band to wear on stage, KAB banners to decorate around the club, stickers, breast self-exam shower cards to pass out, our logo to fit neatly in your flyer, and a big shout out to your band and your KAB event on our website and social network sites!

CALL FOR CASTEES! Keep A Breast Women Of Rock & Soul Collection

shanti 200x300 Keep A Breast Music for Awareness Campaign (MFA)

Keep A Breast is looking for artists and musicians to donate their time and influence the lives of their fans and so much more by joining us for a unique experience to benefit breast cancer awareness. Keep A Breast is casting volunteers who are interested in promoting awareness of breast cancer prevention through creative action for our Women of Rock & Soul Breast Cast Collection. The Keep A Breast Foundation is a unique non-profit organization that creates plaster forms of the female torso, customized by fine artists and auctioned to raise consciousness and funding for breast cancer. This year Keep A Breast aims to raise funds to help expand our youth education and outreach programs. To achieve this we need strong, influential people who wish to be pro-active in working towards a change for the next generation.

The Keep A Breast Foundation Breast Casts™ are part of KAB’s unique campaigns to use art and artistic expression to inform young people about methods of prevention, early detection, coping and support. This awareness campaign is like no other, harnessing the power of art to communicate complex feelings and thoughts about health, the female form and ultimately about breast cancer. Combining sculpture, philanthropy, and symbolic artistry, the one-of-a-kind plaster forms of the female torso are customized by artists and auctioned to raise funds for breast cancer programs all over the world. Through these programs Keep A Breast strives to eradicate breast cancer by inspiring young people to adopt lifestyle choices that have long-term health benefits.

The Keep A Breast Women of Rock & Soul Breast Cast Collection will be exhibited from coast to coast in 2011. Breast casts will be created from the torsos of leading rock, pop, country, hip hop and soul artists then adorned by groundbreaking fine artists and auctioned to benefit breast cancer awareness through The Keep A Breast Foundation’s prevention and education programs.

Past breast casts we have include Katy Perry, Pink, Maya Ford of The Donnas, Tatiana Demaria of TAT, Meg & Dia, Sierra of Versa Emerge, included also are casts painted by Tom Delonge of Blink 182 and Angels and Airwaves, Shepard Fairey, Iggy Pop, No Doubt, Travis McCoy of Gym Class Heroes, Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth and Mark Mothersbaugh of DEVO.

We will be casting for this collection over the next year and a half and we are available to go to the artist to cast them at their convenience in addition to the onsite casting in San Diego and Los Angeles, California. Contact Erica Leite at Erica@keep-a-breast.org

We are urging you to GET INVOLVED and GET CASTED!!

Upcoming Events you will find our Grassroots Educational Booth

In order to reach young people with the message of breast cancer prevention Keep A Breast travels on the road with music tours, cancer walks, action sports events and fashion gatherings. A Keep A Breast representative helps raise breast cancer awareness through an informative and artistic display of breast casts, information materials and interactive activities.

KAB has created a grass roots approach to educating young people about the importance of a healthy lifestyle and a positive body image. By providing educational tools such as step-by-step Check Yourself shower card to promote Monthly self exams, alongside celebrity endorsements, signings, and positive interaction KAB provides a safe and relatable resources and support program to educate about breast cancer while on site.
