Kassia Meader KAB Ambassador’s photography will make its world debut At Yokohama, Japan’s Green Room Art Festival this weekend. Kass displayed her photographs and appeared in two film screening to a sold out audience. During the two-day festival, thousands will take in music, art and film inspired in some way by beach culture. As an artist, photographer, TV personality and surfer, Kassia embodies the festival’s essence. The work focuses on lifestyle and international travels.
Kassia’s surfing will be featured in two films being screened at the Green Room including Thomas Campbell’s The Present and the all girl surf film, Dear and Yonder. Kassia has worked with Thomas Campbell on all three of his films with previous shots in The Seedling and Sprout. A preview of her projects is available at kassiameadorphoto.com

Earlier in May, the Senate introduced Senate Bill 994, the Breast Cancer Education and Awareness Requires Learning (EARLY) Act of 2009. The House version (H.R. 1740) was introduced in April and has at least 300 cosponsors! Keep-a-Breast supports this legislation and are hopeful it will pass in the next few months.

The EARLY Act provides public education in women 45 years of age and younger about breast cancer; education for health care professionals about risk factors and challenges facing young women diagnosed with breast cancer; and offers grants to organizations that provide credible health information directed to young women diagnosed with breast cancer.

While Keep A Breast was in town this week I worked with them at
Bamboozle where I reconnected with Danger Radio, who I met while
living in The Real World house. I got to see them perform live, and
they killlled it! And even though it was raining like crazy all of
Sunday, we got a great reaction from the crowd. A few days later I
did a photo shoot with PONY shoes for their collaboration with KAB,
which was amazzzzing! We had the best people around helping with
hair, makeup, styling (because god knows, I can barely dress myself
in the morning). The shoot was short and sweet, I can’t wait to see
the photos, I hope they turned out well! Thanks to Erica from KAB
for putting the entire weekend together… you amaze me on the daily, love!
