Thank you to all that came out for our 8 year anniversary party. Patrons came out to support KAB, ate amazing cupcakes from Jitters and Stephanie’s Organic Bakery and sipped on mimosas and Stone Brew. We were gathering written testimonials and filming “This Is My Story” which tied in beautifully with Carol Martori’s short film “Family History”. I truly think there was not a dry eye in the house afterwords as the piece was inspirational and moving. For those who felt artistic after seeing all the beautiful casts we had on display we had drawings of casts for people to adorn or you could watch the live mural being painted outside. We had so many fun booths for people to check out from the Roxy Pink Tour giving out free Emergen-C and flip flops to spa services and breast health booths. Thank you to the bands Suburban Nightlife, AM Vibe and the Ashley Loyd Situation for coming out and playing for us. And thank you to all that came out and supported us, the day was a total success raising over $2,000 for KAB!

Alongside our current show we will also have around 20 casts from Breast Defense. Breast Defense is a partnership between The Burlesque Hall of Fame and Keep A Breast, uniting top artists, performers and pinup models to raise awareness for breast cancer prevention and treatment. From June 8-10, over 40 women had their ‘assets’ immortalized for the cause–including such legendary “vintage vixens” as Tempest Storm, Tura Satana, Breast Cancer survivor Kitten Natividad, and many of today’s top neo-burlesque starlets, inlcuding Miss Exotic Worlds Immodest Blaize, Julue Atlas Muz, Michelle L’amour, Erochica Bamboo and Stephanie Blake.

Among the amazing artists participating in this project included: Pilar Alvarez. Attaboy, Tim Biskup, Sarah Emerson, Mark George, Mike Giant, Kim Gordon, Derek Hess David LaCapelle,  Ronnie Land, George Long, Mark Mothersbaugh of Devo, Mitch O’Connell,  Iggy Pop, Tony Rodrigues, Kenny Scharf, and more.
