Knowledge is Power

Dr. Susan B. Love is a pioneer of breast cancer advocacy in methods of early detection. When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, in November of 2000, I was immediately informed of Dr. Love's work and referred to her book, “Dr. Susan B. Love's Breast Book.” It became my "bible" on my own journey in understanding what this disease is about - in all it's complexity. In addition to Dr. Love's book I found a very useful online information guide geared for patients newly diagnosed with breast cancer and their families. This guide lists numerous sources of information and support. It is produced by the University of Michigan's Comprehensive Cancer Center, and it is continually updated.
