Keep A Breast I Love Boobies Bracelets
he Keep A Breast Foundation has received many letters, emails, Facebook comments and other communication from people wanting to talk about our I Love Boobies campaign. Some are upset that they are being banned, and some want to talk about their message. We fully understand the I Love Boobies Campaign is not for everyone; however, we also feel that “boobies” is not a four-letter word.
Keep A Breast’s target audience is teenagers. Across the nation, health classes are being cut, P.E. scaled back, and art and music are nearly non-existent. We think these are pivotal ways of teaching this group health, self confidence, and creative expression.
We feel the best way to reach, educate and impact teenagers in an authentic way is by giving them important, possibly life-saving information at places they already frequent: concerts and action sports-related events and partnerships with brands and stores they already shop at/for. We reach out to young people with the help of supporters like pro surfers, artists, skateboarders and musicians. These ambassadors are role models and leaders for today’s youth. The Keep A Breast team helps us spread the word about breast cancer prevention, body image, early detection, and the importance of living a healthy lifestyle.
We pass out hundreds of thousands of Breast Self Exam cards each year to young people explaining exactly why loving your body is important and explaining the relationship between body image and breast cancer. We encourage you to visit and read our health page.
We talk to young ladies everyday about how important it is to appreciate, respect and love their breasts and themselves. Our message is to increase awareness among young people so they are better equipped to make choices and develop habits to benefit their long term heath, and we believe loving your body is a huge step in doing so.
Many young women develop a negative attitude towards their breasts and put energy into criticizing them or wishing they were different somehow. We work closely with our ambassadors to promote a healthy body type. They are all amazing athletes in surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding, and female musicians that are breaking boundaries based on talent. You can read more on our team page.
We also talk with young men who are dealing with family members or friends being affected by breast cancer. For many, pink ribbons don’t resonate with them, and talking about breasts is taboo. Though Keep A Breast Foundation, they have found an outlet to express themselves, educate themselves about changes they can make to live a healthy lifestyle and connect with people that are going through the same emotions.
We have 8 years of success and testimonies from young people all over the world who have visited our “traveling education booth” and learned how to examine their breasts, then later find a cancerous lump. Because they met Keep A Breast they found the lump early, they have a much better survival rate. Nearly three million people visit our site every month to learn healthy tips, ways of support, express their inner feelings, make connections with others and learn coping strategies helpful to them and their loved ones.
Thank you so much for visiting our website. Please poke around. We like it.
xoxo Keep A Breast

My school is giving out 5 day in school suspension. Wow get real. I still wear myne, my grandmother has breast cancer and the school says the braceltes are offensive, comon! This year four Students have died and two of the four have taken thier own lives. South glens falls high school has bigger problems to worry about then a price of rubber around your wrist!

My school has decided to ban the wrist bands and shirts, on behalf it is “offensive to women”. But the reality is that the logo was made to get our attention and for us to buy and be aware. If we can’t wear and support, then we won’t buy them, if we don’t buy them, then no money goes to breast cancer. I am a woman and I don’t find it offensive at all. I find it unbelievable that the school district has banned an orginization that is trying to find a cure for cancer.
- Women shouldn’t be offended, it’s for a great cause.
- Not all the teenagers in my school are immature about boobies.
If anyone has any ideas about how I can protest it, let me know.

And my school will probably band them soon but I’m not taking mine off

the bracelets got banned today :/ the school knows that its for breast cancer awareness but there are some people who buy them and treat it as a joke, and even making profits off them at school. they said that it was for breast cancer awareness as an excuse to wear it. i enjoyed showing other people my bracelet and educating them, most didn’t know that many women diagnosed with breast cancer ended up having their breasts removed, and until then did they know what “keep a breast” meant. i think this is a brilliant idea, i just wish others could see that too and not abuse the power of wearing it.

How can I get bracelets…and where?
June 13th, 2010 at 3:39 am
these bracelets are the most genius items ive ever worn but im tired of teacher telling me to hand them over when i have them inside out. i support breast cancer and to all the women out there with breast cancer just rember we all love boobies

I dont find these bracelets offensive! Believe it or not, the amount of guys and girls who wear the bracelets are actually equal. My boyfriend has this bracelet and he asked me if it insulted me and I said no. Plus, what they mean by “I love boobies” is to love your boobies, and not to tlet them be affected by breast cancer. My school didnt ban these bracelets but a few teachers asked students to turn them inside out. I REALLY want one but my parents think that theyre inappropriate- even though theyre for breast cancer awareness. pEaCe OuT – B)

Teachers are starting to take away and write kids up for having the I Love Boobies bracelets. When they check the website they are saying that the brackets aren’t related to breast cancer at all. What can students do to not get in trouble for wearing the bracelets?
July 16th, 2010 at 1:34 pm
Hi admin, do you have any ways that I could convince my parents into letting me get one of your bracelets? I don’t find them inappropriate/offensive and I have supported breast cancer all my life since my friends mom almost died from it. Everyone has boobies and if other kids treat the bracelets like a joke, it’s fine because all that matters is that the money is going to a good cause. Please help me because I want to be able to express my care through these bracelets. Thnx!

I’m a mom and a registered nurse. Anyway we can educate, encourage and support our children, in feeling comfortable with themselves, their bodies and the risk of cancer, should be allowed. I’ve spoken with many young male and female supporters, of the bracelets, sure there’s the wise crackers-but the majority come from families, who have survivors!! I have 2 breast cancer survivers in my family ( do you know what the odds are for my daughter?! ) We’re wearing “I love boobies” because we do!!
